Georgia Advocates for Battered Women and Children records, 1971-2000, undated (bulk 1981-1997).

This collection documents the legal advocacy and training activities of the Georgia Advocates for Battered Women and Children during the 1980s and 1990s, as well as the activities of the staff members in national and regional committees and task forces on domestic violence. Also included are statistical reports from Georgia shelters on incidences of domestic violence, news clippings, and printed training and resource manuals, curriculum guides, conference proceedings, papers and reports on domestic violence, some of which were written by the staff of GABWC. Audio-visual materials include audio and videotapes containing public service announcements, interviews with staff members, training materials, and documentaries.
